Marilyn A. Ray, age 40, in Chicago, IL., the youngest of six children, showed herself to be an innovative thinker very early on in life. She took an interest in and indulged in many forms of art, especially cosmetology, and became licensed upon graduating from high school. In this profession, she realized her passion for creativity. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from CSU in Business Administration: Marketing, experienced more insight into entrepreneurship, and started Brighter Smiles Brighter Lives licensed home daycare. Her parents were her biggest supporters. This experience awakened her desire to serve our youth more excellently. She started teaching as a substitute teacher for the inner-city public school systems, eventually earning a Master of Arts in Elementary Education and later endorsed in Special Education. Marilyn currently has a 16-year career mentoring, empowering, and educating youth. Always reaching for greater, Marilyn recently became a National Board Certified teacher, a testament to her commitment to providing high-quality education to her students.

While embracing motherhood, she desired to create a legacy similar to that which her mother left. Marilyn's embedded need to create new things resurfaced. While spending more time in the kitchen and hosting family gatherings, she invented PanCovs (patent pending) to meet a need that wasn't on the market. Watching her hardworking father, who worked a full-time job and managed his own business, and having a mother who sacrificed her own life for her family, pushing her dreams aside, Marilyn hopes to live out the dreams her mother never got to live before her devastating death. She hopes to be the face others need to see to know that great things happen after traumatic experiences. She is determined to inspire sacrificial men, women, and children to believe that with GOD and much-needed prayer, all things are possible and not to give up on their dreams. Marilyn's legacy is in the making...she is the face of determination, love, and triumph. She hopes to inspire this generation of innovative thinkers to DREAM, BELIEVE, and ACHIEVE. Her sweet angel once said, "Keep Going to the Top," and that's exactly what Marilyn intends to do.
